Tool Functions
I’m actually really excited about this extension – I wanted to review it much sooner, but it never really got updated to work with SketchUp 2017, so I couldn’t really do any tutorials with it.
Now, TIG has updated it for SketchUp 2018 – however, he has noted that some of the things he had to do to get it working with 2018 made it more unstable, so he warns to save your models often to avoid losing work. It sounds like especially using the undo functions can make your models unstable.
The cool thing about Extrude Tools is that it allows you to extrude lines, rather than faces, giving you a whole series of new modeling options.
What I wanted to do in this video was just run through the different tools and explain how each of them works.
